About Us
Gordon Country has welcomed guests for 40 years. Families, school groups, scout groups, recreational and sporting groups, special interest groups including horse riders, bush walkers, bird-watchers, astronomers, artists, university students, orienteering lovers and mountain cyclists have discovered Gordon Country and return year after year to this beautiful location.
During his lifetime the late R M Williams, a frequent visitor to Gordon country, said that it is one of the most beautiful rugged valleys in Australia.
Many children who once holidayed here are now returning with their children and grandchildren. They can be seen, if you look hard enough, swimming in the pristine creeks, skylarking in the open country or pulling fresh yabbies from the waters edge.
Crowds can be catered for by our camp oven cook Sandy. Let us know if you are planning a special celebration.
Gordon Country allows guests to bring their own horses to ride the 4,000 acres of horse trails through eucalyptus forests and rainforest, along mountain trails, over shallow creeks and across open grasslands.
The property is a working cattle producing property which breeds calves as well horses and over the past 40 years has provided interaction for city children who are amazed at seeing them roaming freely over the property. A particular pet is the resident donkey fondly named Helen.
Ian & Sue Gordon are the proud owners of this extraordinary property and want to share it with you.
