A Perfect Weekend Retreat Great 4WDing & Camping

Weather

GREAT CAMPING for EASTER!!

  • Free Firewood - collect it from around the property
  • Free Showers

Please note when booking cabins or camping for Easter you must book 4 nights, even if you stay less than 4 nights.

Although camp-sites are nominated at time of booking, we allow guests to choose on arrival. Easter is a busy time and we encourage guests who prefer privacy to bring porta pottie and camp showers - this means you do not have to be close to our amenities and ensures more privacy. For those who wish to be close amenities this is fine but it is usually busier around facilities.

Camping Information

Gordon Country Camping Information.

Directions on website are to our home at 1847 Inverramsay Road –camping grounds commence 2klms further on when the gravel road starts

Our camping grounds extend along the creek (in place both sides) for approx 5 klms –so there is a really good choice of sites. We also have sites along another Valley on the Banshee Creek – Banshee Valley Campsites.

1. For those with conventional vehicles requiring facilities we suggest The Cottage site (where the first camping signs are approx 1/2klm after start gravel road…or Black Cockatoo which is about 1klm further on

2. For those with conventional vehicles but with their own porta pottie, we suggest Bull Hole which is marked, Banshee Junction, The Festival site or Bower Bird campsites. These are all well marked and on the creek

3. For those with 4 wheel drives and requiring facilities, we suggest same as in No 1 but in addition the Cabin area (follow sign on road, through creek and into Cabin area) where there are great camp sites to the left of cabins down on the creek)

4. For those with 4 wheel drives and independent campers with own facilities, we suggest same as No 2 but in addition, the Banshee Valley sites which are through Cabin area and then down the road to right –a 2 klm long valley with great sites.

Firewood

Choice of helping yourself to as much as you like – you need axe or chainsaw to collect from any of our paddocks , there’s tons of it

If more convenient we have bagged timber available – signposted –for $14 bag

Long weekends

There is a small surcharge for these times –as we cannot patrol or monitor due to size of property, we charge a flat fee, However because hot showers are free, firewood is free, pets are allowed free, you have access to all our property –we feel we offer good value

4 wheel Driving

Changes . Basically insurances doubled and we can no longer offer for free. Access 4 wheel driving Fee $25 per vehicle for duration of stay (not per day)
