Accommodation Terms & Conditions

Gordon Country welcomes all its guests but we do have some Terms and Conditions which guests must accept and adhere to as a condition of their booking and subsequent stay. These T&Cs form part of our Online Reservation and payment system.

If a guest books over the phone and payment is processed by Gordon Country, the guest accepts these T&Cs. For such phone bookings guests can download a copy of thee T&Cs by CLICKING HERE

Gordon Country Terms and Conditions

Office Hours and Registration

Camping guests can arrive and depart at any time.

Cabin guests can check in from 11am and check out is no later 10.00am. We can be flexible on this depending on whether there is another family arriving on your day of departure. For a later checkout cabin guests  must check with the caretaker or manager.

We ask all guests to register with the caretaker when checking in. If not possible, we ask that all guests do so at some time during their stay, if not otherwise visited by the caretaker. This is so you can be placed on our Camping Register in the event of an emergency.

Receipt of payment

All camping and cabin bookings must be made in full at time of booking.

Guests must bring the receipt of their payment with them. If you do not have the payment receipt with you,  we reserve the right to record credit card and license details in order to check payments in our system and process a payment  if one is not already made.

Although you may have booked for a specific site, such site is not guaranteed as Gordon Country operates on a first in, best dressed policy.

Prices, Tariffs and Refunds

Prices and tariffs are subject to change without notice.

Gordon Country understands Holiday Plans can be interrupted. While we do not refund bookings we do offer guests an accommodation credit which can be used to rebook at Gordon Country within 12 months of their original dates of stay. Please note: if you rebook at peak periods your credit will be placed against the tariff of the Peak Period, with any shortfall to be paid.

In order to use such credit, you are required to email gordoncountry10@yayhoo.com.au  and have the credit approved by the owner or manager. This email must then be presented in order to claim the credit.

Complimentary or reduced price stays cannot be used during peak holiday seasons or long weekends without the permission of the owner.

Children are defined as up to and including Grade 10 or 15 years of age. Children 4 and under are free.

BINS AND RUBBISH

Bottles, bottle tops and tins MUST NOT be burnt, buried or left in your firepit or campsite.

Please take all rubbish with you when you leave. As with a National Park you take out what you bring in.

PORTA POTTIES AND ABLUTIONS

Please dispose of all waste from portable ablutions in the soil waste holding tank provided on site.

The burying of ablutions effluent is STRICTLY PROHIBITED on Gordon Country.

FIRES AND FIREWOOD

Campers MUST only use established fire pits. This is for safety reasons and fire precautions.

If you wish to camp somewhere off the beaten track and there is no fire pit, prior approval of the caretaker or manager must first be obtained to build a fire pit.

Firewood is free to all campers, except those who wish it cut and bagged for them. Guests MUST NOT cut down trees.  Firewood must be collected from the ground. Guests are welcome to cut up fallen limbs and trees.

GENERAL

Motorbikes and four wheel bikes are strictly prohibited on Gordon Country.

No shooting is allowed on Gordon Country.

We do not allow day trippers unless visiting a guest who is camping or staying in a cabin

WATER

All drinking water should be boiled first for health reasons and we recommend that your bring drinking water with you.

DOGS

Dog owners MUST be responsible with their dogs. Wildlife and Livestock MUST NOT be chased by dogs.

The owners and managers reserve the right to ask people to leave should any of our terms and conditions not be complied with.

DRIVING

Guests MUST drive safely and according to road conditions at all times. Our property is divided by a pubic road and is used by adults, children, wildlife and livestock.

Guests MUST only drive on the well defined roads in order to preserve the integrity of our bushland and pasture. DO NOT drive along our creek campsites – we ask that you hop out of your vehicle and inspect the various sites on foot before driving to your selected area.

HORSES

It is the responsibility of all campers bringing their own horses to comply with local and state legislation requirements, be a member of a club and must be compliant with safety riding equipment.

For BYO Horses – there is a charge of $25 per horse for the duration of your stay

SWIMMING and DIVING

It is the responsibility or parents or guardians to ensure children are supervised at creeks and waterholes at all times. Diving and jumping into creeks is not permitted.

CAMPING UNDER TREES

It is the responsibility of all campers to ensure their camp sites are safe and not erected under trees. Falling limbs are dangerous.

If we see any unsafe or irresponsible behavior, or social behavior which is contrary to our rules and regulations,and inconveniencing other guests, you can be asked to leave. No refunds will be given if your stay is cut short.

NOTE:  If there is property damage, littering or garbage left at your campsite or cabin, we reserve the right to detract $100 from your credit card.  Property damage can include damaging our camping flats by doing ‘wheelies’ and extends to such things like broken chairs, tables, sullied doonas etc.

If theft or property damage is sustained you may also be prosecuted for this.
